Control Room A

Recently Recorded: (songs are ~ 4 meg mp3s)

"Fairchild" by Kelly Hogan

Recorded by Phil Palazzolo to Pro Tools LE in the A room. Mixed in the B room with lots of plate reverb and a $50 compressor. Features John Wesley Harding and Tony Maimone (Pere Ubu). And Charles on sloppy handclaps.

"Sofia" by Takka Takka

Tracked to 2" 16-track on rented tape in studio A and transfered to Pro Tools. Synth and other overdubs by Gabe at his home studio. Mixed back in the A room. Mastered by Joe Lambert at Trutone Mastering. From the album We Feel Safer at Night.

"Monk's Mood " by AC Unit

One of our mellower projects which was a lot of fun. This was tracked in one day last December live to the 1/2" 8 track in studio B. The mixing was done in A to Pro Tools. Really cool stuff...

"Brewster" by Gutz

Tracked to analog 1/2" 8-track in studio B, mixed to the Ampex 440b 1/4" in studio A. Features Wurlitzer AND Rhodes electric piano. This is Charles' favorite song of the summer. This version has not been mastered, but will be soon right here at Seaside.

"The Breeze is a Tease" by Radiant Republic of Texas

This is an amazing track by an equally amazing dude named Brian Pennington. He performed everything himself. Tracking for guitars, Hammond and drums was done in Studio A to the 16 track using GP9. Then Brian moved to Chicago and finished vox, overdubs and mixing with Greg Norman at Steve Albini's amazing Electrical Audio.
