Recently Recorded: (songs are ~ 4 meg mp3s)
This is a song off Takka Takka's last record released all the way back in 2008. OK, maybe it's not really really recent but it's still one of our favorites. It was recorded and mixed in Studio A using the usual hybrid of initial tracking to tape and finishing up in Pro Tools, mixing on our analog Sony MXP console. They are currently working hard on their 3rd album which we are looking forward to!
"Something Nothing" by I'm In You Here is another track by our friends in I'm In You.
"All Good Cowboys" by Mercy Bell All Good Cowboys is the title track for the first full-length recording by Mercy Bell. Basic tracking was performed live to 2" tape in Studio B during the Spring of 2011. Mixing and mastering took place in Studio A with engineer Danielle DePalma. The album was released August 11th 2011.
"Kicking Contest" by Great War Great War, a three piece out of the remnants of Federale, came in one night last Fall and we recorded four songs in Studio B, all live to Pro Tools minus the vocal tracks. Vocals were tracked during two evenings in B and then we mixed in Studio A for all the choicest reverbs. BX10 and plate feature prominently. We can't wait to record the album!
"Release of Posture" by The In Betweens Here's a frantic track by a very dynamic trio. Recorded all live to tape in Studio A one day in early September. It was dumped to Pro Tools and mixed during the course of one more day later in the month. Upright bass was tracked in the iso booth and electric guitar/drums were setup in our live room. Five mics on the drums, two on bass and one on the guitar amp. Elegant and economical, our favourite way to work.
